Role Overview
As a Sales Assistant, you are the face of our brand on the shop floor and a true brand ambassador. Your mission is to deliver an exceptional customer experience, spark conversations, and help customers with their shopping missions. You will engage customers proactively, recommend products, and maintain a well‑stocked, tidy, safe and welcoming store.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively approach and engage with customers and understand what they are looking for, making helpful recommendations.
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service.
- Stay informed about product promotions and services.
- Maintain excellent store standards: merchandising, cleanliness, stock replenishment.
- Operate tills accurately and handle transactions with care.
- Support stockroom organisation and product availability.
- Follow operational procedures including health and safety and loss prevention.
- Collaborate with team to meet store targets and KPIs.
- Act as a brand ambassador – positive, professional, and passionate.
- Work across different areas of the store, using stairs, handling deliveries and moving stock.
- If applicable, open and close the store securely and support cash handling and security.
Keyholder Responsibilities (if assigned)
- Open and close the store safely and securely.
- Complete cashing‑up and other end‑of‑day procedures accurately.
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of the store when a manager is not present.
- Support colleagues and respond to customer or operational issues.
- Follow store security, health and safety, and loss‑prevention procedures.
