Retail Sales Assistant – Keyholder
6‑hour contract
About the Role
As a Sales Assistant you are the face of our brand on the shop floor. Your daily mission is to deliver exceptional service, spark meaningful conversations and help customers find the right products for themselves or as gifts. You maintain an inviting, well‑stocked store, support teammates, and contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service to every customer
- Maintain excellent store standards, including merchandising, cleanliness and stock replenishment
- Operate tills accurately and handle transactions with care
- Support deliveries, stockroom organisation and product availability
- Follow all operational procedures, including health and safety and loss prevention
- Work collaboratively with your team to meet store targets and KPIs
- Stay informed about promotions, products and services to help customers make informed choices
- Represent the brand positively, professionally and with passion
- Manage physical demands such as moving stock and using stairs, with support from teammates
Keyholder Responsibilities
- Open and close the store securely
- Cash up and manage cash handling procedures
- Carry out basic supervisory responsibilities when a manager is not in store
Skills & Behaviours
- Passion for delivering great customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
- Reliable, punctual and flexible for varied shifts
- Comfortable using tills and handling cash
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality
- Experience in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments
- For Keyholders: experience with store opening/closing and basic supervisory duties
