Become a Finance Analyst
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Business Partner, this role sits within our Commercial Finance team. In this key role, you will develop a good understanding of the key drivers of the business to enable you to effectively deliver insight, challenge, add value and influence strategic business decisions. You will be responsible for building strong relationships and business partnering with senior managers and their teams, providing financial insight to support their commercial decision making.
Your Mission:
- Dedicated support to the commercial management teams, building a strong relationship with them and key stakeholders.
- Providing effective commercial support to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.
- Reporting and understanding KPIs.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting to the business.
- Ownership of the monthly management accounts for areas of responsibility.
- Represent finance in commercial project working groups.
Skills/Behaviours That Will Set You Apart:
- Part-qualified accountant (to have completed up to CIMA Management level, or equivalent).
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills; you have a thorough and accurate approach for data quality.
- Good communicator, as a part of a team, with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Highly organised; you can prioritise your workload and manage multiple tasks.
- Commercially astute with a strong desire to understand key levels of the business and take numbers into meaningful insights.
- Experience with MI Tools such as Cognos, TM1 and Aptos.
- Experience with data tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau.
- Experience of budgeting and forecasting processes.
