Overview
Become a Retail Sales Assistant at The Works. This is a 12 hour contract. You’ll be part of a mission to inspire reading, learning, creativity and play, helping customers discover products that spark imagination and creativity.
You’ll be the heartbeat of our retail store by greeting customers with a warm smile and helping them leave excited to unlock their imaginations. Your passion for our brand and products will be contagious and motivate customers to return for more inspiration and products that satisfy their creative needs.
Some of our colleagues are BookTok influencers or Instagram creatives, crafting content with our in-store products — that’s encouraged and supported.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them in finding products that meet their creative needs
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customers leave the store happy and inspired
- Support store operations and merchandise presentation to maintain a welcoming shopping environment
- Keyholder responsibilities: open/close the store and run the store when needed (holidays, days off, sickness), with training provided

Keyholder Details
If you’re over 18, you’ll join as a keyholder. You’ll receive an additional keyholding pay enhancement when in keyholder duties.
