Overview
Retail Sales Assistant at The Works Stores Ltd. This is a part-time, 8 hour contract position. The Works inspires reading, learning, creativity and play, and our team helps customers discover products that spark imagination.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm welcome and provide helpful recommendations to meet their creative needs.
- Drive sales and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction; maintain store standards and product merchandising.
- Support the Store Management team with opening/closing duties and coverage as needed; participate in daily store operations.
- Assist with stock handling, deliveries, pricing and visual merchandising as directed.
- Be an ambassador for The Works culture, sharing in-store promotions and initiatives with customers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Positive, authentic, and customer-focused with strong communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to train and develop skills in sales, stock management, and customer service.
- For keyholding duties, must be 18 or older; capability to obtain keyholding pay enhancement when applicable.
