My client is one of the UK’s most innovative software companies. They are seeking an experienced Software Development Project Manager to lead and oversee a large project roadmap. The successful candidate will deliver key milestones on time, manage cross-functional teams, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders. The role demands a technically savvy, detail-oriented professional who excels in breaking down complex requirements, managing competing priorities, and driving teams to deliver high-quality results on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Deliverables: Develop a detailed 6-month project plan within the first month, including key milestones, deliverables and timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Requirements Breakdown and Management: Drive the team to break down requirements into assessable, trackable chunks. Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine business-focused requirements.
  • Prioritization and Resource Management: Manage competing priorities and ensure alignment with client timelines. Prioritize tasks effectively across multiple teams.
  • Progress and Communication: Manage weekly communication of progress, blockers, and milestones to stakeholders. Foster transparency and ensure all stakeholders remain informed and engaged.
  • Technical Understanding and Delivery: Collaborate effectively with technical teams, demonstrating a strong understanding of technical language and development processes.
  • Testing and Delivery Assurance: Develop and enforce testing strategies to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Documentation and Organization: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, requirements, and test outcomes.
