My client is one of the UK’s leading Technology Consultancies, working across Private, Public and central Government clients. They are looking for an exceptional Bid Writer who wants to grow into a Bid Manager.
The Bid Writer will be responsible for creating high-quality written content for tenders, pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), and proposal documents in line with public sector frameworks and procurement regulations. You’ll work closely with internal teams across development, commercial, and compliance to craft winning bids that demonstrate value, impact, and capability. This is a crucial role for the business as you’ll play a pivotal role in securing high-value contracts and shaping the future direction of the business. You will work closely with subject matter experts, senior leaders, and operational teams to develop compelling, high-quality bid submissions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Re-write/edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery.
- Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way to meet/exceed the client’s requirements.
- Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Bid Lead/Manager against agreed deadlines, escalating issues as required.
- Lead storyboard sessions with bid/proposal team members.
- Undertake market research for the kick-off and solution meetings.
- Proactively develop and manage a network of subject matter experts.
- Assist the Bid/Proposal Manager in developing a proposal structure.
- Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant.
- Ability to coach and solution Bid teams in writing best practice.
