About The Role We're looking for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HIAB Driver to join our team at Stoke Branch. In this role, you'll safely deliver, collect and transport plant equipment between our depots and customer sites while providing excellent customer service. It is essential that you hold a valid C+E Licence and preferably have HIAB experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering and collecting plant and equipment across the region
- Full compliance with Tachograph operation and driver's hours legislation.
- Carry out a risk visual assessment prior to loading and unloading activity takes place.
- Loading, unloading and securing equipment safely using HIAB crane operations
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards
- Vehicle interior and exterior to be cleaned and swept out weekly so that vehicle is clean and presentable at all times.
- Ensure all items and quantities are matched to Branch paperwork.
- Maintaining excellent customer relationships and representing Selwood professionally on site
- Communicate accurately to your immediate supervisor, work colleagues and customers regarding certain job specifications.
- Obtain signatures when delivering and collecting.
- Following all PPE, health & safety and company procedures
- Supporting installation teams on customer sites when required
- Must be comfortable with required nights away, with nights out in the cab
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Full C+E Class 1 HGV driving licence (no more than 6 points)
- Previous experience in similar industry
- Aged 21 or over (insurance requirements)
- Compliant with statutory medical standards for HGV and able to climb onto lorry bed and to ensure secure loading and strapping down of load.

- Digital Tachograph Driver Card
- HIAB/Lorry Loader Crane Operators licence
- Counter Balance Fork Lift truck licence
- Plant Loader/Securer CPCS Lorry Loader OR CPCS Loading and Securing Driver Qualification card and/or Periodic CPC Certification
