About The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for an individual to gain an excellent industry qualification whilst being supported with practical on the job training on our fleet of both diesel and electrical pumps.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will be working on your targets related to your Apprenticeship and role performance objectives agreed by your company appointed Mentor and attend all college, training, assessments, and progress reviews.
  • You will demonstrate an active involvement/interest in the design, build, assembly, and installation functions to develop a full understanding of company operations, systems, products, and equipment.
  • You will show progress in learning from the repair centre team and complete all assigned duties to an agreed expectation.
  • You will work towards effectively undertaking service and maintenance tasks to an agreed standard as directed by an experienced mentor.
  • Show continued progress in the development of your knowledge on electrics, hydraulics, engines, and systems with the support of a dedicated mentor.
  • Assist with repairs of equipment and electrical faults by accurately identifying, analysing and resolving them.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade 4)
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4)
  • Learning Agility – Be able to demonstrate learning from experience and applying it in new ways, adapting to new circumstances and opportunities.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adapting your style and approach to meet the needs of your stakeholders whilst working well in a team.
  • Understand and respect safety procedures to keep yourself and those around you safe.
  • Ability to be ready to do overtime work if the need arises.
  • A keen Interest in mechanical maintenance.
  • Proficient in reading technical manuals, electrical drawings.
  • Demonstrate an ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and use problem‑solving skills.

Due to insurance requirements for the role, we require all applicants to be ages 18 or over at start date (which is planned to be in August 2026).
