Engineering Estimator - Verwood BH31 - Salary up to Β£60k DOE A prestigious Aerospace company based in Verwood is looking for a full time Engineering Estimator to join their team. Do you have industry experience within Aerospace and looking for a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company. We are looking for a candidate with strong communications skills, strives in a fast paced environment and able to handle multiple projects. Key responsibilities of Engineering Estimator: Apprentice trained time served engineer with detailed hands-on specific manufacturing experience with an ever-changing product portfolio. Experience of AS9100 environment or similar quality environment Appropriate technical machining and quality knowledge using a variety manufacturing methods and materials. Detailed knowledge and understanding of OHSE in the workplace Successful implementation of positive change management projects Experience with CNC machining methods Problem solving ability Ability to understand timings on CNC machines Experience of leading continuous improvement strategy and implementing process improvements. Both turning and milling experience Proven history of working within a busy sub-contract machine shop environment The ideal Engineering Estimator: Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings Ability to complete quotations in a timely manner Good communication with customers and suppliers Understand method of production Understand machine tool capabilities Work with the team to make the best prices for both the business and the customer Good knowledge of machining practices Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (Excel, Word etc.) Good communications skills Engineering Estimator Verwood BH31 Hours: Mon – Thurs 7:30am – 4:30pm and Fri 7:30am to 12:30pm Salary up to Β£60k DOE
