We are currently recruiting for an Administrator to join a busy and growing team within the haulage sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work in a fast-paced office environment and develop a strong understanding of transport administration.

The successful candidate will initially focus on administrative duties, data entry and maintaining accurate records, with full training and support provided.

As your knowledge and confidence develop, the role will gradually progress to include handling telephone queries and supporting the wider transport operation.

  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Holiday: 20 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • Free parking on site
  • Modern open plan office Key Responsibilities of the Administrator
  • Complete day-to-day administrative tasks to support the transport and haulage operation.
  • Accurately enter and update transport, delivery and customer information on internal systems.
  • Process and maintain transport-related paperwork and records.
  • Assist with keeping schedules, job details and system information up to date.
  • Gradually develop responsibility for handling telephone queries from customers and drivers.
  • Liaise with drivers, customers and colleagues to support daily operations.
  • Provide general office support and take on additional duties as your knowledge develops.

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when entering transport and customer information.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
  • Confident using computers and willing to learn new systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate professionally
  • Reliable, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Positive and professional attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • A genuine interest in the haulage industry and an eagerness to learn how transport operations work.
