An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Test Engineer to join a well-established and growing company based in Romsey. The role would primarily involve working closely with the production supervisor to support the development of new manufacturing procedures and improve productivity.
Main duties of the Production Test Engineer:
- Accurate and timely assembly of electronic panels to customer specifications and drawings
- Set up, calibration and test of UPS systems
- Using test equipment including power analysers and oscilloscopes
- Laser cutting of rating plates and frame labels
- Repair products and equipment
- Quality control of final assembly
- Written, verbal and telephone support of the company’s internal and external customers
Key competencies of the Production Test Engineer:
- Previous manufacturing and test experience & knowledge
- Experience of electronic assembly
- Previous use of electronic test equipment
- Experience in manufacturing quality procedures
- IT literate and strong knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Attention to detail and constancy of output
Desired qualifications:
- BTEC Electric / Electronic Engineering
- City & Guilds in Testing and certification
- Maths, English and Science GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
The hours for the Production Test Engineer role are 09:00am to 05:30pm Monday - Friday and our client is offering an annual salary up to £35K per annum dependant on experience, alongside other benefits, including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free on-site parking, and private medical insurance.
