We are supporting a premium B2B content and intelligence platform at a defining stage of its evolution. The business operates a highly sticky, subscription-led model with long-term customer relationships and is transitioning from a flagship product into a multi-product, platform-led proposition, supported by AI-enabled distribution partnerships.

This is a newly elevated executive role, created to bring senior commercial leadership, structure and predictability as the business scales from early growth into a more mature, multi-product phase.

The Head of Sales will own the end-to-end commercial engine, with a mandate to professionalise sales execution while enabling sustained growth across an expanding product portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building a board-level, predictable sales engine with robust forecasting, pipeline visibility and performance metrics
  • Leading and developing a senior sales organisation, embedding consistent methodology, coaching and accountability
  • Driving growth through:
  • Commercialisation and pull-through of new product launches
  • Cross-sell and bundling across an established, enterprise customer base
  • Transition from seat-based pricing to value-based / enterprise pricing models
  • Selective acquisition of new customers in a complex, regulated buying environment
  • Partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team on pricing, packaging and commercial governance
  • Defining clear interfaces between Sales, Marketing and Customer Success, with strong ownership and hand-offs

What We're Looking For:

  • A senior commercial leader who has personally scaled a subscription business from early growth through to a materially larger 12 million plus, more complex organisation
  • Demonstrable experience building sales structure at scale: methodology, pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy and performance management
  • Background selling non-tangible value (content, data, research, intelligence or platforms) to sophisticated, senior buyers
  • Experience leading multi-product expansion, not just managing a single core offering
  • Proven exposure to value-based or enterprise pricing and complex deal structures
  • Comfortable operating in businesses with:
  • Multi-stakeholder, enterprise-style sales cycles
  • Long-term customer relationships and renewals
  • Limited tolerance for discount-led selling

When responding, please can you provide a short cover note, illustrating your relevancy for the role and experience in these areas:

  • Experience scaling a subscription-revenue, ARR and your role in this
  • Experience building a sales structure from early growth to 12 million plus
  • Experience selling value-based subscription sales
  • Examples of client base you have sold into

Relevant backgrounds may include:

  • Enterprise B2B content, research or data platforms
  • Specialist or regulated B2B information businesses
  • Scale-ups moving from founder-led selling to a repeatable, executive-led commercial model

Less suitable backgrounds:

  • High-volume, self-serve or SMB-focused SaaS
  • Short sales-cycle, transactional software environments
  • Organisations reliant on aggressive discounting rather than value-led selling

Why This Role:

  • Executive ownership of a critical scaling phase
  • Opportunity to shape the commercial operating model for the next chapter of growth
  • Strong product momentum and clear platform ambition
  • High-impact role working closely with the CEO and board

Package:

Competitive executive-level base salary with performance-linked upside. Longer-term incentives may be introduced as the business scales.
