Duties
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.
- Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Supervise the cooking process, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
- Familiarity with health regulations and food safety standards is required.
