Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation and culinary techniques. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production, and delivering exceptional dining experiences in a hospitality-focused environment.

Duties

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Supervise the cooking process, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
  • Familiarity with health regulations and food safety standards is required.
