Overview
The Woodhouse Partnership Ltd, part of RSK Group, is hiring for a Senior/Principal Asset Management Consultant to join the team. TWPL is growing the consulting team with a hands-on practitioner who’s lived the asset-owner reality and is ready to translate that experience into advisory impact, Academy training, and decision-support facilitation (SALVO + DST™). Asset owners are navigating ageing infrastructure, volatile budgets, and rising stakeholder expectations. At TWPL, we help them cut through the noise—aligning on ISO 55001, crafting SAMPs that actually get delivered, and enabling robust, transparent decisions with proven methods, training, and tools. This role can be hybrid and UK-wide, also considering remote options with occasional international travel for business needs.
Responsibilities
- Consult: Lead ISO 55001-aligned assessments, audits, and maturity roadmapping, turning insights into value-prioritised, deliverable improvement programmes. Build and embed Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMPs) with clear line-of-sight to risk appetite, performance targets and budgets. Provide hands-on implementation support tailored to each client’s context—joining up processes, closing gaps, and sustaining benefits.
- Grow capability: Co-design and deliver state-of-the-art training via the Woodhouse Asset Management Academy (classroom, virtual, and eLearning), including IAM Foundation/Certificate/Diploma pathways. Coach & mentor people: develop TWPL colleagues, coach cross-functional client teams, and help shape learning and development that turns promising practitioners into confident leaders.
- Lead thinking & Open doors: Publish white papers, speak at conferences, and contribute practical guidance that advances asset management thinking—and use that thinking to deliver superior outcomes. Support business development as a team sport—spot opportunities at events, nurture relationships, and contribute to proposals/solution shaping—while keeping your priority on delivery.
Person Specification
- 10+ years’ experience as an asset owner/operator, ideally in energy, water, or oil & gas (operations, maintenance, engineering, strategy, or investment planning).
- Fluent with ISO 55001—and pragmatic in how you apply it for assurance and improvement.
- Consulting toolkit - stakeholder facilitation, structured problem framing, crisp analysis and synthesis, engaging writing, and confident presenting.
- Communication superpowers—engaging, empathetic, and able to translate technical insights into business value for senior audiences.

- Curiosity and growth mindset—willing to pursue professional qualifications (e.g. IAM Diploma) and complete train-the-trainer and DST™ onboarding.
- Public thought leadership—you enjoy sharing useful ideas and making the complex feel simple.
- Comfortable in a small, agile business where you’ll wear multiple hats and help shape “what good looks like.”
- Right to work in the UK; willing to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas.

- Depth in one or more of: reliability engineering/RAMS, analytics & visualization, data & digitalization, risk & decision analysis, whole-life costing, asset strategy & investment planning, sustainability/ESG frameworks.

- Familiarity with SALVO methodology and DST Evaluator Suite software for structured, value-based decision-making.
