Overview
Fixed term until end of December 2025. We are proud to be the world’s largest and most experienced flower delivery network. Every day, people trust us to deliver their best wishes and sentiments on their behalf. We pride ourselves on being the most personable too, with everyone involved—from our florists, to our delivery drivers, to our Customer Advisors—taking care to add that personal touch.
As a business, we are driven by our Purpose, ‘to make beautiful things happen’ – it’s what drives us every day. We strive to be trusted, personal and special, and each and every one of our colleagues contributes to that.
We have a very flexible approach to hybrid working, where colleagues choose how they manage their time and where they work, as long as they come to the office in Sleaford to collaborate and connect with each other on a weekly basis (many colleagues choose to be in the office more often). Our colleagues tell us that they love working here and that we have a real ‘family feel’ that makes us a unique and great place to work.
Job Description
At Interflora, we’re continuing our journey to introduce state-of-the-art technology to our florist members to enable them to efficiently plan and route their daily deliveries. Through an easy-to-use app and smart software, we’re going to enable our florists to provide all customers with personalised updates and real time order tracking.
We’ve been taking a phased approach to the introduction of the FarEye delivery technology to ensure that we’re able to provide florists with all the training and support they need. We’ve done a great job so far, but we need to progress through the final push of the roll-out by bolstering the team on a fixed-term basis. This is a great opportunity to be a pivotal part of a business-critical project and to gain valuable business experience.
As a Category Assistant, you’ll be responsible for providing administrative support to the Category Team. You’ll make in-bound calls to schedule go-live dates as part of the plan as well as responding to in-bound contacts requesting help and support. Another key part of the role will be supporting our florists with the new technology over the phone so you will need to learn the technology and be very happy to spend a good amount of your time talking to florists about it.
Reporting to the Florist Solutions Category Manager, you’ll help to maximise all available launch dates within the rollout plan, communicating well with florists, the Business Development Team and Operations Team. You’ll schedule training and provide support resources as well as taking responsibility of ensuring all relevant systems and documents are kept up to date and accurate.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Category Team.
- Make in-bound calls to schedule go-live dates and respond to in-bound contacts requesting help and support.
- Support florists with the new technology over the phone and learn the technology to discuss it with florists.

- Schedule training and provide support resources; keep systems and documents up to date and accurate.
Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills and some experience in scheduling and planning
- An ability to work to deadlines and prioritise appropriately
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially over the phone
- Excellent administrative skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Good written communication skills
- A process-driven mindset and the ability to follow procedures
- An ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
