The Wonderfield Group has recently been purchased by Zensho Holdings, the leading food service company in Japan with a market cap of $5.5b. We operate restaurants, factories, and thousands of sushi kiosks and have a growing fruit business. We are looking for a Franchisee Coach who will be a hands-on, go-to expert for fresh food — especially sushi — supporting Franchisees with proactive guidance and on-the-ground coaching to ensure high-quality products across our network.
In this role, you’ll coach on sushi skills, food safety practices, and troubleshoot quality concerns, partnering with our Operations Team to deploy where you’re needed most and to elevate franchisee capability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular kiosk assessments to identify areas for improvement in food quality and safety, ensuring counters meet high standards.
- Deliver on-site coaching and training to Franchisees and their teams — covering sushi-making, knife skills, and operational excellence.
- Support new Franchisees with induction and orientation to set them up for long-term success.
- Monitor training outcomes and evaluate the impact of interventions on performance.
- Provide actionable feedback to the Head of Openings and Franchisee Support to guide network development.
- Capture field insights to evolve training materials reflecting real-world needs and best practices.
- Collaborate with other Franchisee Coaches and the Operations Team to share learnings and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on trends and innovations in sushi and Asian-inspired food to keep offering fresh and exciting options.
- Maintain detailed records of coaching activities, outcomes, and progress for development and accountability.
