The Wonderfield Group has recently been purchased by Zensho Holdings, the leading food service company in Japan with a market cap of $5.5 billion. Zensho aims to become the world’s largest food company, erasing hunger and poverty globally. The Group operates restaurants, factories, thousands of sushi kiosks and a successful cut‑fruit business, Snowfruit, following the acquisition of AFC, Sushi Circle and Sushi Take, generating annual sales of $2.5 billion and EBITDA in excess of $140 million with an ambitious growth trajectory.

The Franchise Recruitment Manager is a key role within the Franchise Department, working closely with Sales, Operations, Training, HR, and Finance teams. The role is responsible for recruiting, screening, selling and onboarding new Franchisees across the UK to join our network. The manager also coordinates the sales process for existing franchisees, liaising with current and new partners to ensure a smooth transition. Approximately 70% of the role focuses on selling corporate kiosks, with the remaining 30% supporting the resale of existing partner kiosks.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, screen and sell franchise opportunities to suitable candidates.
  • Coordinate sales processes for existing franchisees and ensure smooth transition to new partners.
  • Support resale of existing partner kiosks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with prospective and current franchise partners.
  • Manage onboarding using internal CRM system.
  • Ensure compliance with franchising best practices and UK laws.
  • Work cross‑functional with senior managers and operations teams to facilitate handovers.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in sales and/or recruitment, preferably in the franchise food sector or similar.
  • Proven track record in franchise sales or recruitment, pitching to the right candidates, filtering them and finalising franchise agreements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to engage people at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of franchising best practices and UK laws relating to franchising.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Capability to handle multiple deals quickly and manage administrative processes.
  • Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of following strict processes.
  • Ability to focus and deliver results under pressure while working effectively within a team.
  • Driven to generate new sales, recruit the best candidates and consistently surpass monthly targets.
  • Experience in lead generation and qualifying high‑quality candidates for a large network of locations.
  • Provides innovative solutions for challenging locations, including site visits and localised advertising plans.
  • Owns the sales process for new and existing partners, conducting meetings, presenting sales pitches, filtering candidates and supporting onboarding.
  • Strives to achieve personal and team KPIs.
  • Facilitates handover of new or transferred franchise locations, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Completes due diligence and admin linked with each sale.
