Qualifications
- Proven track record in engineering management within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-shift teams and contractors.
- Excellent knowledge of maintenance systems, Lean principles, and continuous improvement tools.
- Confident managing budgets, delivering CAPEX projects, and influencing at senior level.
- Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or above) and relevant H&S training (IOSH Managing Safely, PUWER, etc.)

The Role
- Lead and inspire a multi‑shift engineering team to deliver exceptional maintenance, reliability, and efficiency across all site equipment.
- Develop and deliver the site’s engineering strategy, including CAPEX projects, asset renewal, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence with robust planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and other site teams to ensure engineering fully supports smooth manufacturing operations.
- Manage budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality engineering solutions.
