Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Hygiene Team to ensure completion of hygiene schedules to the highest standard.
- Maintain and improve hygiene, safety, environmental and quality standards across the site.
- Support Engineering and Production with line set‑up, deep cleans and maintenance.
- Review and enhance hygiene practices, procedures and equipment to meet legal and customer requirements.
- Manage training, audits, documentation and supplier liaison for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Communicate hygiene standards across departments and support cross‑functional teams and audits.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety and customer requirements; support the Head of Technical as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar hygiene leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of hygiene, cleaning chemicals, COSHH and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication and team development skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, production, quality and technical teams.
- Experience in audit preparation and customer‑facing hygiene documentation.
- A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Can work 4 on 4 off nights & days.
