Operations – Taiko Acton‑BONSAI Contract: Full Time – Salary: £14.27 Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first-to-market sushi and food-to-go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Good understanding of operations and products.
- High reliability and flexibility required.
- Punctuality is essential.
- Good command of English sufficient to perform the job effectively.
- Able to take ad hoc tasks.
- Drive a van to collect chilled/frozen goods.
- Unload delivery vehicles using a forklift.
- Check that the goods received are the correct item and quantity as on the delivery note; check the temperature of all chilled and frozen products before signing any paperwork.
- Report stock shortages or warehouse plant breakdowns to the Warehouse Charge Hand/Purchasing and Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
- Put a bar code label/GRN number on all items received into the warehouse.
- Place all stock items in the correct place inside the warehouse.
- Pick stock items following the planner and the first-in, first-out principle.
- Keep the warehouse and yard clean and tidy.
- Crush cardboard boxes and place complete bales in the correct place.
- Assist dispatch team when required.
- Follow all company procedures and rules at all times.
