Are you a warm, relatable role model who’s passionate about inspiring the next generation of Jewish youth?

Finchley United Synagogue (Kinloss) is looking for a dynamic Female Youth Madricha to help shape a vibrant, fun and welcoming youth culture — with a particular focus on engaging girls aged 11–18.

We are a large and dynamic community with approximately 1,700 adult members and 1,250 children under the age of 21, with a rapidly growing number of young families. We are a modern orthodox community catering to a varied membership, we embrace communal diversity and celebrate spiritual growth. Over the course of a Shabbat, several hundred individuals to come to Kinloss for our different services and programmes.

We are seeking an individual who is able to:

• Further develop the Kinloss Youth Service into a warm, welcoming and inspirational home for the Youth of Kinloss and the wider community

• Personally inspire and enhance the connection of Kinloss youth with vibrant, authentic Jewish life

• Deliver exciting and engaging programmes for young people in our community

• Work effectively as part of larger Youth team

In return you will have the opportunity to help mould and inspire the youth of our community, giving them both social and spiritual guidance, while also receiving professional development yourself.

Applicants should have proven experience in youth leadership, with the ability to relate well, and promote Judaism to young people, along with plenty of initiative and excellent planning, administrative and communication skills.

Applicants should also be fun with a positive demeanour and a passion for the work. You must understand the youth of Kinloss, their needs and their families. With a great Rabbinic team, committed office staff and a passionate lay team, you will be given all the tools you need to do the job!
