We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to lead and develop the kitchen operation at Woburn Safari Park. You will be passionate about delivering excellence in hospitality and have experience of menu creation for both day and event catering.
You will use your industry knowledge to coach, develop and inspire the kitchen team, whilst always practicing the values of the Woburn Estate. In addition, you will have a sound understanding of due diligence, HACCP and food hygiene legislation and proven experience of purchasing and stock control, recipe management costing/pricing all with agreed budgets.
As a good communicator, you will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, along with a proven ability to support and develop a large team and kitchen operation that fluctuates in line with business seasonality. You will work alongside the Catering Services Manager and Commercial Manager in a three-pronged management team to achieve exceptional customer service and will also be on a management rota to undertake duty management of the safari.
This position is contracted to 40 hours a week. Your hours will be mostly during the day, however there will be late nights as required for private functions. The role will require flexibility to work during our peak times, including weekends, Bank Holidays and school holidays will be required as standard practice.
In view of the park’s location, you will need your own transport.
