We are seeking a Speech & Language Therapist to support our specialist day school, Luxborough Court School, covering maternity leave for a year. The role involves working with children and young people with complex needs, including those on the autism pathway. The position is based in Essex at an independent specialist day school.
Responsibilities
- Engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs.
- Support teams around each child or young person to provide clinically informed living and learning environments.
- Act as a model, guide, leader and trainer for multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to educational and residential staff.
- Deliver individualised interventions based on clinical assessment and formulation.
Qualifications
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
- Specialist with proven skills and experience delivering interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
- Experience supporting teams to ensure provision of clinically informed learning environments.
- Highly organised with initiative and commitment to achieving best outcomes.
- Experience in team supervision and CPD provided.
- Car driver available for travel as required.
