Overview
You'll work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You'll collaborate with the Head Teacher to set the vision for the future of the school, ensuring the right people and plans are in place so that our young people leave feeling proud of what they have achieved. Responsibilities
Alongside the Head Teacher, you'll set the vision for the school, build high‑quality teaching teams, enhance learning quality, and model behaviours that promote positive learning and engagement for all pupils.
Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership and management experience
- Drive to raise the quality of teaching and learning
- Understanding of what good behaviours for learning look like
- Effective leadership and coaching skills
- Knowledge of how to use interpersonal skills to develop a strong staff team
Location and Environment
Located in the rural community of Alvescot, Sandwell, our tranquil setting offers a supportive learning and therapeutic environment for our small cohort of students with ADHD, ASD, Asperger's and SEMH. The school has recently been rated Good by Ofsted.
