Working in our Children’s Homes means being a part of a young person’s day‑to‑day life. It is about being there for the high points and the lows, enabling our young people to reclaim their childhood and create pathways to become well‑rounded adults. Our team leaders play a crucial role in supporting staff, maintaining high standards, and stepping up to deputise for Registered and Deputy Managers.
Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day care and support for the young people in the Home.
- Ensure the Home runs smoothly and meets all care standards.
- Support and mentor the care team, fostering a supportive and positive working environment.
- Build relationships with young people, showing compassion, emotional resilience, and the ability to inspire colleagues.
- Act as a deputy to the Registered and Deputy Managers when required.
Qualifications
- A can‑do attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
- Honesty, empathy and a genuine care for young people and colleagues.
- Resilience to handle challenging situations.
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
- Level 3 Children’s Residential Care qualification.

- Base salary of £35,400 – £42,664.
- Up to 3 sleep‑ins per month, paid at £80 each (≈£2,880 per year) and an attendance allowance of up to £1,400 per year.
