Are you passionate about helping people and making a real difference in your community? Do you want a role where your work directly supports households experiencing fuel poverty and financial hardship? If so, The Wise Group would love to hear from you.

We are recruiting Energy Mentors to join our Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) as part of our Seasonal Team, supporting increased demand for services during autumn, winter and early spring. These fixed-term roles run from August 2026 to March 2027 and play a critical role in helping households when they need support the most.

The Wise Group is committed to lifting people out of poverty and supporting individuals and families to build brighter futures. Through our HEAT service, we provide practical, independent advice to households struggling with energy costs, helping people reduce bills, improve energy efficiency and live in warmer homes.

As an Energy Mentor, you will work directly with customers to understand their circumstances and provide tailored, compassionate support that leads to meaningful and lasting change. You will manage a caseload of households, offering guidance on energy usage, tariffs, supplier issues and available financial support. You will build trusted relationships with customers, helping them navigate complex situations and access the support they need.

The role involves delivering support remotely as well as occasional face-to-face engagement where appropriate, working closely with colleagues and partners to ensure customers receive a coordinated and effective service. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role, particularly during the winter months when demand increases. We are looking for individuals who are empathetic, organised and motivated by helping others. You will be comfortable managing a varied caseload, communicating clearly with customers and working collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

Experience in advice, customer support, mentoring or case management environments would be beneficial, but most important is your ability to build rapport, solve problems and provide compassionate, practical support. These positions form part of our Seasonal Team, created to strengthen service delivery during the busiest period of the year. You will receive full training and onboarding to ensure you are confident delivering support and contributing to the success of the HEAT service.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a purpose-driven organisation while making a tangible difference to people's lives. Every conversation you have and every household you support will contribute to warmer homes, reduced financial pressure and improved wellbeing.
