The Wise Group, together with the Ministry of Justice and other third-sector delivery partners, established the Money Mindset Provision, which provides a mentoring service for adult males across the Northwest. In this service, we work hand in hand with probation/prison staff to support people to address their finance, benefit & debt issues.
We wish to recruit individuals based in Merseyside & Cheshire who can provide advice and support to people on probation using our Relational Mentoring approach. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is customer-focused and values working with people who may be challenging and have complex needs. If you enjoy making a positive difference in someone's life, then this is the role for you.
You will play a key role in helping the Wise Group to increase our impact in our Justice work, ensuring people entering and leaving the justice system receive the necessary support to help them manage their lifestyles. This builds upon the work we already do across our Personal Wellbeing and Women’s provisions.
A full driving licence and daily use of a car is an essential requirement. The post is also subject to the successful candidate passing enhanced level 1 prison vetting. Experience of working in a mentoring role and in a custodial setting is advantageous. Home broadband connection is also required to allow home working to be undertaken. This post requires extensive travel across Merseyside and Cheshire. Expenses will be covered by The Wise Group.
