The Wings’ CE Trust, Leigh CE Primary School, Henrietta Street, Leigh, WN7 1LP, is seeking a Teaching Assistant for term‑time work. The role is available for either 19.5 hours per week (£11,274 per annum, £13.26 per hour) or 30 hours per week (£17,344 per annum). It is a temporary position until August 2027 and the successful candidate must be ready to start in September 2026 with satisfactory references and checks.

Key Responsibilities- Support teachers in delivering high‑quality learning activities across the primary age range.
- Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress.
- Provide targeted support for children with additional learning needs where required.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays.
- Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Support pupils during lessons, break times, educational visits, and school activities.
- Always promote safeguarding and the wellbeing of all children.
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

- Ability to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
