Overview The Wine Room is a neighbourhood wine bar and shop in the heart of East Molesey, known for its warm welcome, thoughtful wine selection, and relaxed atmosphere. We’re looking for a full-time Manager to lead our team and help shape the next chapter of our growing business. This is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a small but ambitious environment, and takes pride in creating memorable experiences for guests and staff alike.

Leadership & Culture

  • Acting as an ambassador for The Wine Room, embodying our values of warmth, inclusivity, and genuine hospitality.
  • Being a visible, positive presence on the floor — engaging with guests, supporting your team, and fostering a fun, professional atmosphere.
  • Leading by example to instill pride, confidence, and passion within the team.

Wine & Beverage Expertise

  • Developing a deep understanding of our wine and drinks offering, with an enthusiasm for keeping the range fresh, interesting, and accessible.
  • Supporting tastings, events, and wine education for both staff and customers.

Operations & Stock Management

  • Supporting in the management of stock control, stock rotation, and accurate stock reporting.
  • Working with the owners to ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance, including opening/closing procedures and regular audit trails.

Team Development

  • Ensuring the rota is efficient, fair, and aligned with business needs, including holiday planning and payroll preparation.

Sales & Business Performance

  • Motivating the team to deliver excellent service, increase sales, and meet cost targets.
  • Bringing energy, ideas, and initiative to help grow the business and enhance the guest experience.

Experience Required
