Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Performing Arts & Media Technician to join the Performing Arts Department at Windsor College on a permanent, all-year-round basis. The role pays from G17 £24,983 to G19 £26,784, depending on experience and qualifications.
We require a candidate with proven practical skills in both production and media; someone who is highly organised, methodical, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a successful performing arts team. You should possess a flexible approach to working practices and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting high-quality teaching and professional-standard live shows. The Technician plays a critical role in providing first-class technical support, including inducting students into the safe use of technical areas and equipment. Strong communication and time management skills are essential, as you will be communicating with a wide range of people at all levels. You must hold a minimum Level 2 (GCSE A-C) in English and Mathematics and have a background in production, stage management, or live events. This role requires a commitment to the College’s safeguarding, diversity, and health and safety policies, and will occasionally require evening work for performances.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality technical support for Performing Arts activities and live shows.
- Induct students into the safe use of technical areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Assist with production planning, setup, and breakdown of events.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
