Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer in Games Development to join our Slough and Langley College team starting in August 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a full-time Academic lecturing role requiring the successful Lecturer in Games Development to complete 37 hours of work each week (25 contact teaching hours, 12 hours remission) paying on the Academic Teaching pay scale between T1 £31,633 and T11 £45,341 depending on qualifications and teaching experience.

The Lecturer in Games Development at Slough and Langley College is primarily responsible for delivering an outstanding student experience through high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment. Core duties include:

  • Participating in the interviewing, enrolment, and induction of students.
  • Preparing comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment structures.
  • Providing continuous feedback, setting and monitoring personal targets, and delivering necessary academic support or referrals.
  • Preparing students for various assessments and examinations.
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed student records.
  • Contributing to overall curriculum development.
  • Participating in promotional activities such as parents' evenings, recruitment drives, conferences, and trade events.

In addition to classroom instruction, the post holder acts as a Tutor, delivering both academic and pastoral support to students on an individual and group basis while maintaining collaborative links with parents and employers. The role also involves contributing to programme leadership, specifically assisting with quality assurance, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental self-assessments.

General obligations mandate that the lecturer safeguards and promotes student welfare, maintains morale and discipline on campus, and fosters a safe learning environment free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE or Equivalent).
  • Be willing to work toward a level 5 teaching qualification if you do not have one already.

Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have experience working with the UAL Creative Media curriculum alongside an Assessors or Verifiers award.
