Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a part‑time Lecturer to join our 14‑to‑16 provision at the Berkshire College of Agriculture. The role is permanent, part‑time (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with a pro‑rata salary ranging from £19,236.28 (T1) to £27,572.23 (T11) per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The full‑time equivalent would be £31,633 (T1) to £45,341 (T11).

Role Overview

As a Lecturer in Childcare and Personal Development (0.6), you will support two distinct learner cohorts: 14‑to‑16 year‑old school‑link students (Years 10 and 11) working toward a Gateway Level 1 qualification in Childcare, and post‑16 PVP learners (Years 12 and 13) completing a Gateway Level 1 Diploma in Progression. You will deliver engaging lessons across a varied curriculum covering key topics such as child development, health and safety, nutrition, communication and play, while incorporating practical and theoretical skills required for the qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop curriculum for 14‑to‑16 and post‑16 learners, delivering both theoretical and practical content.
  • Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, working closely with Learning Support Assistants to create an inclusive environment.
  • Use regular assessment to monitor progress, identify gaps in learning and support continuous improvement.
  • Promote attendance, support student wellbeing and embed literacy, numeracy and essential life skills throughout the curriculum.
  • Act as a positive role model, effective communicator and collaborative team player, fostering confidence, resilience and skills in young people.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong Early Years knowledge and experience teaching learners aged 14 to 16 or 16 to 19.
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Experience delivering PSHE, personal development or life skills programmes is highly advantageous.
  • Qualified teachers, lecturers, assessors, trainers and experienced Early Years professionals with relevant teaching or training experience are welcome to apply.
