Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Technician – Motor Vehicle to join our team at Berkshire College of Agriculture campus on a full‑time permanent basis.
This full‑time position involves working 37 hours per week on an all‑year‑round support contract at our Berkshire College of Agriculture Campus and pays on Scale G of the Support Staff Scale (G17 £25,483 up to G19 £27,284). The Technician – Motor Vehicle provides an exceptional student experience by ensuring a safe and effective practical teaching and learning environment. The role involves supporting learning through demonstrations, instruction, and supervision.
Responsibilities- Assist in the induction of students and help lecturing staff with practical demonstrations and instructions.
- Prepare equipment and materials for lessons.
- Support learning events such as parents' evenings, recruitment, trade events, and open days, contributing to the college's marketing efforts.
- Maintain a safe learning environment by adhering to safe working practices, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the maintenance and servicing of all equipment and machinery.
- Manage supplies, parts, and consumables, and keep practical learning areas clean and organised.
