We are looking for a reliable, calm, and resilient individual to join our behaviour support unit - The LINK. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils who may experience behavioural, social, or emotional challenges, helping them to engage positively with their learning and school environment. Success in this position is less about having all the answers and more about being a consistent, supportive presence for young people who need guidance, encouragement, and structure throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions both inside and outside the classroom.
- Help pupils refocus and re-engage with learning following periods of dysregulation or challenging behaviour.
- Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour support strategies.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Identify, record, and report any safeguarding concerns in accordance with TWBS policies and procedures.
- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional development.
- Maintain a calm and professional approach when responding to challenging situations.
