We are currently seeking to recruit a Driver/Counter Assistant to join the Bridgwater branch team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will need to demonstrate strong people skills and some history in the front line of selling building products or general building/construction sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Managing daily delivery and dispatch process and ensuring correct routing
- Ensuring Weekly Vehicle checks are completed
- Be able to identify, pick, load and deliver product in a timely and professional way
- Serving and managing customer inquiries
- Unloading, checking, picking, and loading deliveries
- Ensuring high levels of Customer service are maintained at all times
- Warehouse and driving duties
Skills / Attributes:
- Good local Knowledge, and knowledge of the local road system
- Full UK driving licence
- PC Literate
- Able to listen and follow instructions
- Ideally some knowledge of the construction industry
- Able to work well within a close team environment
- Reliability, consistent, clear, integrity, enthusiastic, trustworthy
- Level headed
- Able to deal with problems in a calm and methodical manner
- Local knowledge of customers and the local area
- Physically fit
