We have a rare opportunity to join our team, working as a Weekend Receptionist/Administrator at our wonderful 40 bed, Residential & Dementia Care Home in Brockenhurst. The Wilverley Association has been operating since 1964 and we are passionate about people whether it's the residents we support, their relatives or our team members. We want to be able to recruit the best people, so we continue to be the care homes that our residents want to live in, and that our teams want to work in.

We are looking for an experienced, personable and professional receptionist to join our team. This role can be extremely busy at times so we are looking for someone adaptive and resilient but most of all, someone who can be a friendly face of the home!

Hours: This is a job share role, therefore you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday each week, 10am-4pm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and assisting all visitors to our home
  • Answering the telephone and emails in a timely manner
  • Acting as the first point of contact for various enquiries and queries
  • Interacting with residents and care staff to help create a warm and homely environment
  • Daily post duties such as receiving and distributing mail, as well as sending all outgoing post
  • Liaising with various stakeholders from our lovely residents and their loved ones, to our CEO, our Trustees, as well various Health Care Professionals such as hospitals and doctors surgeries and other outside contractors
  • Adhering and working to all Infection Control and Health and Safety
  • General administrative tasks

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a busy receptionist role is essential
  • Previous experience working in a care home would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Welcoming and outgoing personality, with a passion to help others
  • Someone who is comfortable and adaptive in embracing technology
  • Hardworking and organised individual
  • Someone who takes pride in every task with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines (this job really can be busy at times!)
  • Due to the fast paced nature of the role, you will need to be able to work both proactively and reactively
  • Initiative to work alone but also a team player
  • Applicants who are ready to embrace new challenges
  • Someone who can take ownership of their role and who are comfortable to recommend improvements to current procedures and ways of working
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
