The Wilnecote School is part of the Community Academies Trust, a multi‑academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools in community hubs through a holistic view of education. An exciting opportunity at our state‑of‑the‑art school is available for an enthusiastic, highly‑motivated Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our Student Support team and work with individuals and groups of students who have special educational needs.
Responsibilities
- You will work with the Assistant SENCO, inclusion and class teachers to deliver complementary learning activities for pupils with SEND or inclusion needs.
- Successful applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and liaise effectively with teachers, pupils and the SEND team.
Qualifications
- Candidates should demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills with evidence of grades A*–C or 5+ in Maths and English at GCSE level.
- Experience of using I.C.T. as a learning tool is an advantage; training will be given.
- Experience working with children and/or students is essential.
- Completion of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferable.
