Are you looking for a Support Worker role where you will be rewarded and recognised within a fantastic team? The Wilf Ward Family Trust have a great opportunity for you to join our team at one of our registered services, Stakesby Road. As a Support Worker you will provide person centred support for three individuals who have complex health needs and learning disabilities at their home, which is in the seaside town of Whitby.

No two days are the same, the individuals we support require and receive 100% support in all aspects of their lives. Some day-to-day tasks include:

  • Personal care.
  • Meal preparation.
  • Monitoring, recording, and administering medication.
  • Assistance with mobility.
  • Accompanying individuals to a range of activities including cinema trips, shopping, eating out, arts and crafts, and swimming.

You should be an effective communicator, be prepared to use different communication tools and methods, and follow the lead of the person you’re communicating with, as we have a variety of different communication styles. Flexibility is essential as the role includes working every other weekend and shifts are varied on a rota basis to include mornings, afternoons, & evenings.

Please note any successful job offer will be conditional based on pre-employment checks such as DBS and referencing prior to a start date agreed.
