The Wilf Ward Family Trust has been improving the lives of people with learning and physical disabilities since 1986. Luckily for you we have fantastic opportunitiesto join us as a Support Worker inRipon.
You will be part of a friendly, motivated team, committed to making a difference and providing high-quality support to our amazing individuals. The individuals we support are absolutely at the heart of everything we do. The support is entirely person-centred and to ensure we can achieve this, our shift patterns include days, evenings, & weekends.
This role encompasses a range of tasks dependent on the individuals needs. Day-to-day duties caninclude:
  • Accompanying individuals to appointments and community activities
  • Assisting with mobility and personal care
  • Supporting individuals with household tasks
  • Assisting with meal preparation and medication management
And most importantly, putting a smile on someones face!
We have a fantastic training programme that will give you the skills and knowledge you need to excel in this role. What we do need, is someone with a desire and passion for helping others, empathy, a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
We recognise the importance of recruiting skilled, compassionate, and reliable staff, whilst demonstrating in practice our commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk.Please be aware its a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group such as adults or children.
