Support Worker – The Wilf Ward Family Trust Ripon £12.41 per hour plus additional for weekend work We currently have vacancies in both Ripon and Harrogate Are you a dedicated, compassionate person looking for a rewarding career as a Support Worker? The Wilf Ward Family Trust has been improving the lives of people with learning and physical disabilities since 1986. Luckily for you we have fantastic opportunities to join us as a Support Worker in Ripon. You will be part of a friendly, motivated team, committed to making a difference and providing high-quality support to our amazing individuals. The individuals we support are absolutely at the heart of everything we do. The support is entirely person-centred and to ensure we can achieve this, our shift patterns include days, evenings, & weekends. This role encompasses a range of tasks dependent on the individual’s needs. Day-to-day duties can include: * Accompanying individuals to appointments and community activities * Assisting with mobility and personal care * Supporting individuals with household tasks * Assisting with meal preparation and medication management And most importantly, putting a smile on someone’s face! We have a fantastic training programme that will give you the skills and knowledge you need to excel in this role. What we do need, is someone with a desire and passion for helping others, empathy, a willingness to learn and work as part of a team. We recognise the importance of recruiting skilled, compassionate, and reliable staff, whilst demonstrating in practice our commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk. Please be aware it’s a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group such as adults or children. Please note any successful job offer will be conditional based on pre-employment checks such as DBS and referencing prior to a start date agreed.
