We are looking for an experienced fundraiser and team leader to join us as Head of Development (maternity cover). You will lead a talented team of seven which covers Fundraising (Memberships, Legacies, Grants, Trusts and Foundations, and Philanthropy) and Marketing (Communications, Campaigns & Marketing). A particular focus of this 12-month contract will be developing the fundraising strategy for a (£5-6m) capital campaign for the transformation of Shropshire Wildlife Trust's Grade II and II buildings, at the heart of Shrewsbury.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of seven across Fundraising and Marketing.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies for a capital campaign (£5-6m).
- Oversee fundraising activities including Memberships, Legacies, Grants, Trusts and Foundations, and Philanthropy, and Marketing activities (Communications, Campaigns & Marketing).
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising leadership and strategy development for major campaigns.
- Willingness to undergo reference checks and Disclosure and Barring Service checks as applicable.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
- Ability to work on a maternity cover 12-month contract.
- Proactive, inclusive leadership and a track record of delivering results in fundraising and marketing domains.
