The Bar Council is the voice of the barrister profession in England and Wales. We lead, represent and support the Bar in the public interest, championing the rule of law and access to justice. Our 18,000 plus members – self-employed and employed barristers – make up a united Bar that is strong, inclusive, independent and influential.
Working under the leadership of the Head of Services, the Senior Services Coordinator (SSC) will lead two Services Coordinators in the day-to-day management of the portfolio of services offered by the Bar Council to its members and other stakeholders. The SSC will be responsible for ensuring the effective operational delivery of the entire services portfolio and will work with the Head of Services to ensure the smooth running of the Services Team.
The SSC will ensure the Services Team meets SLAs and operates with a high standard of customer service. They will use their excellent communication skills to support customers through services processes and will be an escalation point for problem resolution. They will work with the Head of Services to implement appropriate controls and make improvements to any processes and procedures associated with the portfolio, guided by feedback gathered from both internal and external stakeholders.
The role requires an enthusiastic and adaptable individual, who is highly organised and has an eye for detail. They will need to have excellent communication and effective leadership skills to fulfil the role.
