Our Pastry Chefs play a key role within our award-winning Patisserie Production Kitchen, crafting the exceptional cakes, pastries and sweet treats that Daylesford is renowned for. Combining technical expertise with creativity and attention to detail, you'll help deliver beautifully finished products that reflect the quality, innovation and craftsmanship at the heart of our brand.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working closely with the wider production team, our Pastry Chefs lead by example, using skilled baking, mixing, decorating and finishing techniques to ensure every product meets our exacting standards. Supporting the delivery of production targets, maintain the highest standards of food safety and consistency, and contributing to the continued success and growth of our celebrated patisserie offering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Crafting exceptional organic cakes, pastries, biscuits and desserts, helping to create the award-winning products that Daylesford is known for.
  • Bringing skill, precision and creativity to every stage of production, from mixing and baking to decorating and finishing.
  • Working closely with the Head Pastry Chef to develop seasonal, artisan-led products that showcase the very best ingredients.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and organic compliance, ensuring every product leaves the kitchen looking and tasting its best.
  • Supporting the team to deliver daily production targets efficiently, minimise waste and meet customer demand.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the business, communicating positively and contributing to a supportive, high-performing team culture.
  • Acting as a proud ambassador for Daylesford, embodying our passion for craftsmanship, quality and sustainability.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE

  • Previous experience working in a professional bakery, food production or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and quality standards.
  • Skilled in hand-shaping breads and passionate about developing your craft, with a genuine appetite to learn and grow.
  • A positive, hardworking team player who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
  • A genuine passion for organic, artisan food and the care, quality and craftsmanship that goes into every product.
