Recently taken over by Sam and Georgie, the founders of the acclaimed hospitality group Country Creatures, the inn has been thoughtfully revived with a focus on warmth, comfort, elevated pub dining, and exceptional guest experience.

Role Overview

The Wild Duck is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Chef de Partie to play a key role within our kitchen team. Working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and Junior Sous Chef, you will take responsibility for running a section to the highest standard while helping guide and support junior members of the brigade. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident chef looking to step into more responsibility within a quality-driven kitchen focused on seasonal produce and elevated pub dining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for running your section during preparation and service.
  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest quality using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in maintaining smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Assist with stock management, ordering, and minimising waste.
  • Help train and mentor junior chefs, including Commis Chefs and Chef de Parties.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Contribute to menu development and daily specials where appropriate.

  • Demonstrates excellent cooking skills and a passion for seasonal, produce-led food.
  • Is confident running a busy section and supporting others during service.
