Are you interested in making a real difference to a dynamic York-based charity? We are looking for a new trustee to work with our existing Board of Trustees. If you have experience in Finance at a senior level we'd be interested in talking further, if you have previous experience of Finance in a charity, Housing Association or social purpose organisation even better!

About us!
The Wilberforce Trust is the oldest charity in York, dedicated to supporting people with sight loss, hearing loss, and other disabilities. Founded in 1833 as the Yorkshire School for the Blind in memory of William Wilberforce, the Trust has a long history of evolving to meet the changing needs of the community. Today, it provides supported living in modern, purpose-built accommodation on the original school site, offering greater independence and choice for residents. The Trust also runs specialist services including the YorSensory Hub for sensory assessments, a community-focused Living & Learning Zone with café, and a children’s group, Club Wilber. All services are delivered by professional, friendly staff and committed volunteers, creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
