Wiggett Group is a thriving, successful company with an excellent proven track record as Social Housing Experts in Property Services. To ensure a high level of operational focus, we are centred around three operating divisions: Mechanical, Electrical and Property Services.
We are currently seeking Skilled Multi Trade operatives to complete both planned and reactive maintenance works in both domestic and commercial settings within the social housing public sector. The works will be varied in nature and will require both speed and precision. You must be an experienced multi trader, qualified in at least one or more trades or time served in the building industry. You must be organised to carry out a multiple number of tasks or calls per day as directed by the works planning team ensuring we are carrying out an efficient service within our service level agreements. You must be reliable, trustworthy, possess excellent communication skills and have great attention to detail. The successful applicant must have a skilled background.
Responsibilities:
- General multi-trade
- Possess skills in other trades to aid job completion
- Work on both planned and reactive maintenance, including general build, void fit-out, and refurbishment
- Inspect properties and sites, conduct repairs and maintenance
- Kitchen and Bathroom Fitting
- Bricklaying
- Carpentry
- Floor fitting, laminate, carpet, and vinyl
- Basic aspects of plumbing changing taps etc.
- Making good, patch repairs, and painting, damp & mould repairs
- Painting & Decorating, Plastering
- Plumbing
- Tiling
- Guttering / external works
- Competent in brickwork, paving, fencing and gates, and associated groundworks (not essential)
- Competent in all aspects of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, including but not limited to studwork, kitchen fitting, door lining, door, and architrave fitment, skirting, and flooring
- Door remedials and Lock replacements, lock and window handle renewal
- Read drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirement
- Take measurements to calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Build temporary scaffolding and assist other workers on-site
- Perform all other relevant duties as requested
Experience & Qualifications:
- NVQ trade qualification(s)
- Multi trade experience
- Full current driving licence
- A DBS check is required before commencement of role
