Job Description

The Whittan Group is the largest manufacturer of steel storage products in the United Kingdom. Operating through a number of market leading brands; we design, manufacture and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments in the UK and Europe. \\n\\nThe Production Technician will ensure the most efficient running of the assets within their area assigned through the effective setting, monitoring and maintenance for which they are responsible and will assist with the day-to-day mechanical breakdowns of equipment, reporting any issues over technical ability to maintenance.\\n \\nThe hours of work are Monday-Thursday 06:00 – 18:00\\n \\nKey responsibilities:\\n\\nSet, operate and troubleshoot the assets through technical knowledge and competence. \\nInput data into the PC – works orders and part specifications to ensure correct set up for manufacture. \\nFault find on daily generic issues, escalating complex faults through the maintenance reporting systems. \\nInspection of production first offs to ensure rejects are not passed on through the process. \\nWork to the Works Order due dates and programs. \\nProduce quality product, at the agreed output rates, within drawing stated tolerances, thus avoiding unnecessary scrap. \\nTo produce product to quantity and sizes stipulated on the Works Order/Route cards. \\nTo operate all machine controls, which are a combination of mechanical, push button and computer key/touch pads. \\nUndertake programming of length and punch setting via an integral computer.
