The Whittan Group is the largest manufacturer of steel storage products in the United Kingdom. Operating through a number of market leading brands; we design, manufacture and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments in the UK and Europe. We are looking for a Warehouse Operative level 2 to join our busy and growing organisation in Milton Keynes.
The Warehouse Operative will provide operational support to the loading operation from production to outbound vehicles whilst ensuring all vehicles are loaded/ despatched in line with customer orders, build requirements, stock priority, delivery times and dates.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure product is picked, packed and labelled correctly as per customer orders and made ready for dispatch.
- Data entry into SAP, and extraction of data from SAP and the warehouse management systems.
- Keeping the work area safe, clean and tidy.
- Maintain stock accuracy to a high standard.
- Working with other departments to ensure work order completion is smooth and problem free.
- Follow all agreed operational and company processes and procedures and, where possible, identify areas of improvement and report as such to the line manager or member of SHEQ Department.
- To ensure load list accuracy and ensure any issues are reported back to the Despatch office immediately.
- Notify the Warehouse and Despatch Team Leader, Despatch Coordinator and Despatch Admin of any discrepancies and/or shortages to any orders being despatched.

Essential:
- Counterbalance Forklift licence
- High level of numeracy accuracy and the ability to read and follow pick notes.
- Demonstrable knowledge of loading competency and load safety
- Good communication skills - must be able to understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Desirable:
- Combi Truck licence (multi directional)
- Minimum two years’ experience in warehouse operations
